Annie Sprinkle has 29 years of experience in sexually oriented entertainment/art and a wide variety of adult oriented businesses. She started in 1973 as a prostitute and porn star, and later worked in burlesque as a dancer. She evolved into a producer/director of her own films, an internationally acclaimed performance artist, playwright, and innovative sex educator. She reseached and explored sexuality in all of its glorious and inglorious forms and shared her findings through publishing her writing and photography in numerous books and publications. She has facilitated sexuality workshops for eleven years. Sprinkle is a long-standing member of the prostitutes rights organization COYOTE. Women and men from all over the world have taken her sex workshops. She recently earned her PhD in Human Sexuality. She serves on the board of the St. James Infirmary, a health care clinic for sex workers. She is always eager to help sex workers be healthy and happy, and champion all kinds of sexually explicit work and art.
